Merhaba

Turkish-Cypriot brothers Levent and Bulent Hassan opened Kazan Victoria in 2002 with the firm intention to raise awareness of Ottoman cuisine in London. They dreamed of bringing a taste of the orient to the city also and opened their second site in Houndsditch, 2 minutes away from Liverpool St Station at the end of 2008.

Coming from a family with extensive cooking tradition, the two brothers were keen to get past the Döner-Kebab cliché. They have surpassed their goals by offering Kazan’s clientele a rich menu (some recipes dating from 500 years ago!) of authentic and enticing flavours, importing herbs and spicing from the great Anatolian region.

When designing their second site the brothers wanted to show how luxurious ottoman culture could be and included a large separate bar with very deep sofas with plentiful silk cushions, ottoman relics and also a crystal chandelier that wouldn't look out of place in a sultans palace.
